Ideas..............

Hey,

I've been thinking of some intresting places to hang my paintings, but I'm coming up with too many ideas. Does anyone have any ideas?

Dibbs on space

Hey guys
I would like to install my phone booth in the meeting place gallery. I don't need much space it's just that my project will be using electronics and I think it would be best if it is in a space that is suppervised at most times and then locked otherwise. I know that there was mention of volunteering to supervise the gallery so if I could get some space in there (pending the approval of the gallery board) I would volunteer some time to watch over and protect the exhibition! Oh and for food if there is a list that is going up I would be fine to sign up to bring something. Anyways those are my thoughts,

Group 3 Article

Just in case you guys don't have the article yet, you can get it through the u of t library. Go to http://main.library.utoronto.ca then click on "go to Article Databases A-Z". Once you're there click on the letter J and search for the database "JSTOR Basic Search". When you're at JSTOR, click on the "Article locator" link on the right side of the search box. In the "Article Title" box, type in "After Late- and Postmodernism: A Wittgensteinian Reconstructive" (you could type in the whole name, but this is enough to take you to the article). There you can download the article by clicking the "download" link.

As for sections, we broke it up like this:

Lola - From beginning to "Grammars of Creation: Intrinsic and Extrinsic Factors" (two lines down from page 4)

Nishani - From "Grammars of Creation..." (page 4) to "A Wittgensteinian Reconstructive Aesthetic Compass" (Page 5)

Mariam - From "A Wittgensteinian Reconstructive..."(Page 5) to "Aesthetic Reactions and Properties and the Wonder of the World" (bottom of page 7)

Embert - From "Aesthetic Reactions..."(page 7) to the end.

This should clear things up.

Ideas anyone?

Hello people,

Ok so I wanted you guys to tell me if it would be better for me to do the instructional video for 3-5 mins, or have a few interviews from people I know who self injure, or have turned to it in the past. They are willing to sit for interviews as long as their faces arent depicted. Would it be interesting to tape them speaking, but neck down only? Also, I was hoping to do my exhibit in the small room thats been painted pink, since I want to create a seedy, room ambience. Is anyone else working there?

Thanx and good luck!

Group 1 Article (PDF)

In response to Tracia's comment that the article is difficult to print, here it is in PDF format:

Group 1 Article

Since the article comes from an honestly-true-real-life-physical book, I had to scan the article. The jpg files are posted up at:

(I suggest you print it because, well, reading it in a web browser rather sucks)

Below are pictures from the Nuite Blanche night as well as a few captivating ones from the field trip. I know there are many but you guys could save whatever you may want to refer to and I'll delete them after. I have more of almost all the exhibits we viewed earlier today. If anyone needs a particular one feel free to contact me. Have a great week and lots of fun working on the projects.

Adios...

P.S: Reesa, can you please add me onto your messenger? My hotmail is mariammagzi@hotmail.com. Thanx.

Bibliographies

Hey guys,

I don't know whether its my email or other people's email or something in-between, but I've only received two bibliographies. A few people have said they've sent it -- but I haven't received it. So, if you've already sent it, could you please send it again, if you haven't sent it, could you please send it?

Nuite Blanche

I have videos as well that I would like to put up here...

NUITE BLANCHE

What a night! The performance bus was insane fun especially because everyone sang happy birthday for me. But the night in general was fillied with class, style and omph! The air itself had such an aesthetically pleasing scent to it. My personal favourite out of many of the exhibits and installations was the video installation at OCAD. It was titled "Life of errors" if I'm not mistaken and I would really appreciate it if someone could recall the artists name for me as I was extremely inspired by that video, for my own installation. It was an honour seeing our own beloved Prof perform. Tanya was subtle in her actions and focused in her gaze and persona. Quick question...I have loads of pictures from the night, quite a few of Tanya's performance. How shall I upload them up here?

Thanks guys...good luck on the projects!
